Day 4: Foundation

Placed a few coins in the foundation before the walls are solid, it is supposed to be good luck for a new house! :)

Day 3: Concrete

Concrete for footers has been poured in and will be drying over night. Construction will be at full speed ahead!

Day 1: Breaking Ground

It has begun! With the frigid 10-degree weather and frozen grounds.. we are just a few days delayed, but the basement has finally been dug out.

Decisions, Decisions

After weeks of deliberation and multiple change orders... we have made the final decisions on our home's features, upgrades and colors. It was a challenge incorporating both our styles and vision for the house, but compromising is key and we are both extremely happy with all our choices. Whew!!

Now that the hard part is over, we had a successful pre-construction meeting with our project manager and the permit is in hand, woohoo! We are now patiently waiting to break ground! =)
